Walk in from Garawarra Farm carpark or approach north on the Coast Track. No vehicle access to the sand.

Era SLSC patrols summer weekends and public holidays — swim between flags only when patrol is active. Off-season swimming strongly discouraged.

Overview

South Era is the southern section of the Era beach complex. Era Surf Life Saving Club patrols on summer weekends and public holidays — swim between the flags when flags are up.

Gateway beach for Coast Track hikers heading to or from North Era — campground closed to camping in 2026.
