Planning your visit
Drive in via Bundeena Drive from Engadine, or walk from Bundeena after the Cronulla ferry. Bonnie Vale picnic area has a carpark that fills quickly on summer weekends — arrive before 9 am or check @royalnpalerts. Day visitors may use campground carpark and toilets when space allows.
Year-round calm bay swimming. Summer school holidays are busiest; spring and autumn are quieter with mild water temperatures. Weekend kayak hire on the river is sometimes available from the campground.

Bonnie Vale sits on the Port Hacking side of the park near Maianbar and Bundeena. The beach faces sheltered bay water rather than open ocean — ideal for families, paddling and fishing.
Bonnie Vale campground is steps away, making this a popular base for multi-day stays accessed by car or Cronulla ferry. Day visitors can use the campground carpark and toilet blocks when spaces allow.
